TVBS、中視《媽，親一下》改編自九把刀真實故事，播出後好評不斷，劇中夏于喬獨自在橋上淚崩的橋段讓許多觀眾直呼不捨，直誇她：「喬喬演技進步好多。」夏于喬欣慰地說：「也不枉我為了這齣戲哭到快脫水。」而劇中廖峻一個人在廣播間述說對妻子生病不捨的段落，也引發許多觀眾討論，催淚指數破表。

《媽，親一下》真實描述九把刀一家人陪伴母親抗癌的歷程，本身是藥劑師的「刀爸」柯毓彬也表示：「希望藉著這部戲可以播出後可以帶給大家正確的醫療觀念，不要聽信偏方。」

在《媽，親一下》中飾演阿嬤的周楊英今年86歲，也是第一次演戲的純素人，堪稱是演藝圈最年長的新人，演出自然又逗趣，頗受觀眾喜愛。周楊英在劇中因為媳婦生病攬下家務，卻成為擁有超強破壞力的「脫線阿嬤」，網友笑封阿嬤是最強「人間兇器」，只要有她出現的段落就有歡笑，讓周楊英很開心地說：「是大家不嫌棄啦！」
