亞職大賽義大明戰樂天　尼克先發

【楊逸民／雲林報導】亞洲職棒大賽明天開打，義大犀牛首戰晚間6點30分對日本職棒冠軍樂天金鷹隊，總教練大威決定推出洋投尼克先發，對上辛島航。今天犀牛隊在雲林斗六球場進行最後練球，尼克表示，他知道日本棒球有一定水準，他將會更謹慎來投這場比賽。
 
大威今天也公布接下來3戰先發投手，首戰尼克，第2場對澳洲馬克先發，第3場準決賽則是今年勝投王林晨樺。大威表示：「這樣的安排，是根據台灣大賽後球員調整狀況與休息時間，加上投手教練的回報做決定。」
 
尼克接到擔任首戰先發，也看過樂天隊的比賽影片，他說：「樂天是個打擊很整齊，很有紀律的球隊，雖然長打能力不突出，但打者不太會揮空棒，被三振率也很低，因此控球跟球進壘的角度特別重要。」
