竹市義消負重救生比賽　義消累癱腳軟

【楊勝裕／新竹報導】全國義消競技5連霸的新竹市義消總隊，今早在香山體育場舉辦選拔賽。有6百多位義消參賽，分別參加揹水帶百米、負重救生等競賽活動。由於今早豔陽高照，參加負重救生競賽人員揹負20公斤重氣瓶及裝備，跑60公尺後再進入模擬火場中，救出66公斤的假人，困難度高且抱假人拖行相當耗氧，有些參賽者雙腳癱軟坐在地上，但在隊友打氣下，仍完成比賽，個個滿身大汗直呼「過癮」。
 
義消總隊長鄭成光說，新竹市義消已在全國內稱霸5屆了，為了準備明年的全國賽，先辦比賽選拔選手。他強調，新竹市義消共有6百多人，總隊規定只要3次救災或訓練無故不到者，就會剔除，因此隊員的向心力十足，且榮譽感、服從性極高，才能6連勝，希望明年成功6連霸。
