對敘利亞動武 美眾院9日起審議

在美國總統歐巴馬表示，將就對敘利亞採取軍事行動尋求國會授權後，聯邦眾議院議長貝納（John Boehner）及其他共和黨領袖發表聲明說，眾院將於9月9日起那一週審議動武案。

聲明說：「經過與歐巴馬總統諮商，我們預期眾院將會於9月9日起那一週審議提案。這可讓歐巴馬總統有時間向國會及美國人民闡明論據。 」

歐巴馬稍早前在白宮發表演說表示，他將尋求國會授權，解除了立即攻擊敘利亞總統阿塞德政權的威脅。

歐巴馬說：「雖然我相信，我有權執行這項攻擊行動，無需明確國會授權，但我知悉，如果採取此途徑，美國將會更壯大，且我們的行動甚至會更有效。」

歐巴馬說：「我們應該進行辯論，因為此議題太過重大，不能照章行事。」

美國參眾兩院目前均休會，國會議員預定9月9日返回華府。
