印度媒體報導，印度成功發射一枚軍用衛星。

這枚衛星重達二點五噸，由印度研究組織開發，下個月底可以開始使用。

這枚衛星通信頻道比較寬，可以支援語音通訊和數據通訊。服務壽命十五年。衛星主要用來支援印度海軍。

印度是美、俄、中、英、法等五國之後，另一個有軍用衛星的國家。
