【陳宏銘／屏東報導】潭美帶來風雨稍歇，一名家住內埔的56歲蕭姓水泥工，今午與友人同到潮州鎮東港溪的五魁橋下捕魚，因友人遠遠看著蕭男被水流沖走，忙通報119，蕭男妻子聞訊也趕赴溪邊痛哭，在一群人忙著搜尋約1小時，蕭男打電話到妻子手機「我在檳榔攤喝酒啦！」搜救人員無奈嘆道「平安就好！」

蕭妻與友人趕到蕭男喝酒的檳榔攤，已喝的顯出茫樣的蕭男說，就順著水流游到岸邊，上岸後就想喝酒，「沒事啦！」
 
蕭妻忙向警消人員說「拍謝！拍謝！」蕭的友人不滿的向蕭男說「以後別玩這種遊戲，會嚇死人！」
