桃園合宜住宅弊案，副縣長葉世文收賄下台。桃園縣長吳志揚上午接受廣播電台訪問時表示，他並非為了選舉而啟用葉世文，他也從不和縣府的人，有任何金錢往來。對外界揣度葉世文是吳志揚父親吳伯雄的舊屬，遭到提拔，吳志揚說「推薦過(葉世文)的人很多，我父親反而沒有跟我講這個人」。

政壇繪聲繪影，有人暗批葉世文是否為吳志揚白手套。吳志揚上午接受廣播專訪時表示，葉世文不可能比他更熟悉桃園縣，選舉不是葉世文專長，他啟用葉世文是因為桃園縣政需要工程領域的專家。葉世文在內政部歷任十多位部長，每位部長都認為他能力強、公關手腕好，多人推薦，縣府也認為他的專長、經歷，有助桃園推動重大工程、都市計畫。

被問及任用葉世文與選舉、政治有沒有關係？吳志揚說，「他沒有辦法幫到我」。主持人唐湘龍追問，葉世文的錢與他是否有關？吳志揚強調，他從不與任何縣府的人，有任何金錢往來。吳志揚說，他討厭各種「（白）手套」做法，一切應該照規矩辦事，縣府很少向企業、大眾募款，他認為縣府能做多少做多少，而非打腫臉充胖子，辦活動又叫企業出錢，桃園的企業都很清楚他的風格。

被問及是否曾懷疑此案爆發，背後有政治因素？吳志揚說，自己是單純的人，「整天想這個會煩死」，他認為人活一世，人品、道德被肯定更為重要，至於誰因此得利、對選情影響，「思考這些沒有意義」。他也坦言此案對他年底爭取連任的選情影響很大，但他正面思考，希望藉由這個機會，改變過去外界對他只是「吳伯雄兒子」的的刻板印象，認為他值得信賴。

主持人唐湘龍追問，此事與吳伯雄無關？吳志揚說，自己很少和父親講話，他很尊敬父親、不讓父親心煩；父親很尊重他的決定，不會給他任何困擾，這是彼此之間的默契。事情發生後，父親只有對他說加油、面對，「人一生不可能不碰到大風大浪」。
