葡萄牙於台北時間今天(17日)凌晨迎戰德國，以0比4敗北，許多人的《臉書》被比賽成績洗版。而太陽花學運領袖林飛帆就在《臉書》上po文表示，看到有人說「葡萄牙總算知道四年前北韓隊的心情了」，但是自己「比較想知道，四年前北韓隊的球員，他們還好嗎？」
網友也熱烈地加入討論，許多人表示或許他們真的「全抓去勞改了吧」或「當礦工去了」，甚至有人說自己「今年沒看到北韓隊還有些失落」。
4年前的世界杯足球賽，北韓隊槓上了葡萄牙隊，而當時北韓最高領導人金正日，還在北韓當地架設大螢幕電視讓全國人民觀看這場比賽。然而卻目睹了北韓隊被葡萄牙以7比0的分數痛宰，讓外界不少人擔心他們世界盃比完回國後的命運。（劉亭廷／綜合報導）

【動新聞╱綜合報導】蒜頭價大跌，蒜農叫苦連天，宜蘭國中200多名應屆畢業生，昨天參加台北好人會館發起的「搶救蒜農」活動，大家一起動手剝掉沾有泥土的蒜頭外皮，簡易加工，協助蒜農度過困境。
宜蘭國中也採購部分蒜頭，分裝成小包紀念品送給畢業生及即將入校的新生，好人會館理事長黃榮墩說，宜蘭多所國中學生剝好的蒜頭將送往社區，方便民眾購買，另外，部分供弱勢家庭取用。

與葡萄牙一戰，Pepe被紅牌罰下，這是德國在世界盃看著對手領到的第20張紅牌，這項數據傲視各個參賽國。
據統計，在德國100場世界盃比賽內，他們的對手總計吃下20紅牌，為各國之最，德國也是第一支在世界盃出賽滿百場的球隊。
而Pepe這張紅牌，是葡萄牙從2002年世界盃至本屆為止的第6張，也是他們連續4次參與世界盃，都至少有一名球員被紅牌退場。
Pepe是在比賽第37分鐘，揮手打到Thomas Müller臉部，還上前與倒在地上的 Müller發生爭執，被裁判給了張紅牌。
根據規則，領紅牌退場的球員，要被禁賽一場，由於Pepe行為過於粗暴，〈路透社〉報導，他可能要被禁賽三場，葡萄牙之後要面對的對手是迦納與美國。
