【綜合報導】巴西石油礦業大亨巴蒂斯塔（Eike Batista），去年仍是巴西首富、世界第七大富豪，身家340億美元（約1.01兆台幣），16個月後的今日，他的身家蒸發了超過97%（約0.98兆台幣）。

巴蒂斯塔去年在美國《富比士》世界富豪榜排第7，意氣風發，但他旗下六間上市公司都沒錢賺，股價大跌，其中OGX油氣公司去年市值大跌九成。56歲的巴蒂斯塔某程度反映巴西的經濟狀況，巴西經濟連續增長多年後無以為繼，巴西股市今年跌了約23%。

【綜合報導】利比亞東部城市班加西（Benghazi）前天（26日）發生千餘名囚犯集體越獄成功的事件，利比亞警方已捉回脫逃的一百名逃犯，其餘的仍繼續追捕歸案。
 
夸非亞監獄（Kuafiya prison）外26日出現一群村民，他們試圖攻擊監獄的同時，監獄內部的犯人也開始鼓譟鬧事，導致1117名人犯越獄成功。參與攻擊活動的村民宣稱，因為不想住在監獄旁邊，因此決定攻擊監獄。班加西當地的警力不足，設備也短缺，治安出現漏洞。

【綜合報導】英國超人粉絲齊聚一堂，不分男女老少，攜家帶眷全都穿上超人裝，867名超人集合，打破先前556人紀錄，刷新金氏世界紀錄。
 
這場由當地服裝公司Escapaden籌辦的活動，公司提供免費超人服，鼓勵民眾參加，為受傷軍人和家屬募款，參加民眾表示穿上超人裝，創下超級紀錄，還能募款做善事，的確不愧超人之名。

當天參與人數其實高達1200人，不過最後金氏世界紀錄僅認可867人。

【曾佳俊╱新北報導】新北市府與民間愛貓協會九月將於瑞芳侯硐舉辦「貓燈節」活動，打造一百五十公分高巨型貓燈籠，以公益園遊會方式，邀請大家彩繪燈籠祈福，義賣所得全數捐給貓街當醫療基金。主辦單位表示，適逢狂犬病疫情警訊，特印製五千本貓咪手冊發放，讓民眾更了解衛教資訊不至於恐慌。

【王秋燕／綜合外電報導】全球網路零售業龍頭商亞馬遜（Amazon.com）上季財報與本季財測不佳，衝擊周五股價早盤下挫0.4%，分析師認為，可能進一步回檔。亞馬遜公布季報後，公司股價於周四美股盤後股價下滑2.8%，來到294.95美元。亞馬遜股價曾在7月16日創下309.39美元新高記錄。

亞馬遜上季（4~6月，第2季）營收年增22%達157億美元，符合市場分析師預估，不過由於持續擴大數位內容服務、物流倉儲，加上歐洲等海外市場需求低，導致上季陷入虧損，稅後虧損700萬美元或每股0.02美元。亞馬遜上季亞馬遜對本季營運前景示警，預估營收將達154.5~171.5億美元，營業可能虧損1億美元或獲利2.75億美元。市場分析師預期，亞馬遜本季營收可達170億美元、營業利益可達3.9億美元。

【張勵德／台北報導】洪仲丘案發生至今仍真相未明，台大創傷醫學部主任柯文哲上午痛批，全民要的只是真相及未來如何防止悲劇再次發生，但政府至今不肯公布出事前3天到底發生了什麼事情，「馬總統保證有用嗎？1個案子讓國家動盪了20多天，真的是白癡政府，讓人受不了！」

柯文哲強調，洪仲丘確實是過度操練中暑導致多重器官衰竭死亡，但政府要告訴大家的應該是「為何會造成這樣的事」，只要從頭到尾把發生事情的時間表列出來就很清楚了。此外，出事送醫到死亡10個小時內，洪的體重增加了14到15公斤，雖不能怪三總裝葉克膜死馬當活馬醫，但這樣的無效醫療其實已經讓洪仲丘被毀屍了，即使解剖也難看出到底有沒有被灌水、刑求等真相。
