 【林泊志／宜蘭報導】聞名全台的宜蘭縣頭城搶孤，往年都在頭城烏石港舉行，今天移到台二線頭城鎮文小一預定地，搭設搶孤用的孤棚。為求慎重莊嚴，主辦的頭城鎮中元祭典委員會，請來道士依古禮念經作法，押煞洗淨場地，並舉行動土儀式，揭開搶孤活動序幕。
 
委員會理事長林樂賜指出，搶孤活動是知名盛事，聞名海內外。他說，搶孤主要是因開蘭時天災、疾病等因素，不少開蘭先賢客死異鄉，為追念這些死難先賢，鎮內各大庄頭舉行搶孤普渡儀式，歷經二百多年的演變，成為台灣農曆七月最有特色的傳統民俗活動之一。搶孤活動將在九月四日（農曆七月廿九日）舉行搶孤大典。

在個人電腦 (PC)相關廠商發布第二季營收結果的前夕，巴克來證券出具報告指出，因為第二季PC需求低於季節性水平，因此預期相關廠商營運數據將走疲。巴克萊團隊指出，儘管維持8家PC品牌、ODM與EMS廠的評等，但全面下修對公司營運的預估值，其中僅聯想不受影響，而包括上市股宏碁(2353)、華碩 (2357)、和碩 (4938)與緯創 (3231)在內的 公司，股票目標價都遭到下修。

【張勵德／台北報導】由於太平洋高壓持續籠罩，今天各地仍維持晴朗炎熱的穩定天氣，高溫可能比昨天更高一些，大台北地區高溫上看攝氏36度，其他地區高溫約攝氏33到35度，因水氣減少，午後雷陣雨的範圍侷限在西半部山區，民眾前往山區活動要注意安全。
 
中央氣象局提醒，未來1周全台各地會持續晴朗炎熱的天氣，尤其中午前後氣溫及紫外線指數偏高，民眾外出一定要做好防曬準備，並多補充水分以免中暑。

【綜合報導】日本岡山市有2名國中女生，在今年6~7月間使用醫療用繃帶，並在活動休息時間脫掉上衣，將繃帶貼在背後的患部上，卻遭到一名50多歲男老師偷拍，日前這名男老師已遭到免職處分，而該校校長也因監督不周，遭到減薪處分。

據了解，這名男老師是學校社團的指導老師，當時這2名女學生因為運動激烈，有腰部疼痛的狀況，因此趁休息時間使用醫療用繃帶。但這時男老師卻利用手機和攝影機，拍下女學生的「上空照」。

事後女學生覺得不對勁，找一名女性輔導老師諮詢，這起事件才爆發開來。但男老師堅稱，「拍照是為了看使用醫療繃帶後的療效」，否認偷拍和猥褻。

一名男子在外結識小三，竟趁著深夜時刻妻子熟睡之時，偷偷前往小三住處欲幽會。不料小三已熟睡，男子打電話對方沒接，沒帶鑰匙的他竟然搭電梯到頂樓，沿著水管欲爬入小三住處，卻不慎墜樓身亡。妻子聞訊前來，不敢置信丈夫慘死，原因竟然是為了夜會小三，更讓她悲痛欲絕。

這起男子夜會小三、欲攀爬大樓不成卻失足墜樓慘死的案件，發生在台北市文山區。47歲的丘姓男子，因從事建築業而家境優渥，與賴姓妻子(33歲)結婚8年並育有一子。根據《蘋果日報》報導，丘男在3年前一場聚會，認識了22歲、還在大學就讀的解姓女子，2人發成展婚外情，丘男還因此金屋藏嬌。

日前賴女發現丈夫和解女的婚外情，雙方為此爭吵多次，丘男稱說已與對方分手，但實際上仍藕斷絲連。7日凌晨1時，丘男見妻子熟睡之際，外出到解女家中幽會，但解女因熟睡未聽見電話聲和電鈴聲，丘男將自己的皮夾、手機等物品放在解女家門口前，自己在上頂樓欲攀爬入14樓。

不料丘男疑似失足墜樓至3樓露台當場死亡，解女在2點多時醒來，發現有多通未接來電，又在門口前發現丘男物品，隨即詢問管理員，經過找尋後在3樓發現丘男屍體。警方獲報前往現場，並通知賴女，她一見丈夫遺體，當場難過泣不成聲，無法接受丈夫死亡的事實。
