美國總統歐巴馬計劃10日帶家人前往瑪莎葡萄園島（Martha's Vineyard）渡假一週。不過，當前美國正值多事之秋，部分人士認為，此時並不是總統渡假的好時機。
上周，美國才因截獲蓋達恐怖組織情資，下令關閉超過20個位於中東與北非的大使館與領事館；「深喉嚨」史諾登事件也使得美俄關係一度緊繃，歐巴馬甚至取消了與蒲亭的雙邊高峰會；再加上華府即將面臨攤牌的提高舉債上限爭議，白宮此時正面臨多項重大外交與經濟議題挑戰。
再加上每每有總統渡假就必須出動特勤局（Secret Service）及隨從人員維安，反對者批評這樣的開銷。同時，總統所到之處將進行道路管制，當地居民得多花時間繞道行駛，也是部分民眾反對總統渡假的原因之一。
《福斯新聞》（Fox News）民調顯示，48%的民眾認為歐巴馬應該渡假，但同樣也有48%的人反對。對此，白宮發言人卡尼（Jay Carney）表示：「總統非常期待能夠和家人一起共度幾天假期。」
同時，歐巴馬決定在前往瑪莎葡萄園島度假前，在白宮召開記者會，針對取消美俄高峰會、防恐怖攻擊關閉使館以及秋天將面臨攤牌的預算之爭等議題進行說明。這也是他自4月30日以來，首度舉行總統個人公開記者會。 (接下一頁)

| 足感心 洪爸撐傘架電扇防記者中暑

【林建鋒／台中報導】媒體一個月來長期輪班駐守洪仲丘后里住家，洪家一向善待在場媒體記者，洪爸洪媽不時準備礦泉水、水果與糕點，洪慈庸也搬出電風扇，讓記者稍微消暑解熱，還招呼記者進來客廳坐，一起看電視，甚至考量鄉下地方網路訊號不佳，提供自家的無線網路讓平面媒體應急發稿使用。
夏日炎熱高溫，議員高基讚擔心記者長期曬太陽會中暑，找工人搬來兩頂大陽傘，與洪爸在屋外架設，讓記者倍感溫馨。洪爸說：「本來想去買（電扇），讓大家吹，但是親戚說家裡有，搬來借我用，大家互相就好，辛苦了。」記者妙問：「那他家不就沒電風扇了？」洪爸妙答：「我也不知道他跑去哪裡吹。」

至目前為止，到底浪費了多少錢在錯誤決策上，怎麼都沒有每一年度的政策檢討報告給全民看看呢？

【綜合報導】今天台北外匯市場新台幣兌美元匯價，收盤貶3分，達30.025元，成交金額為5.59億美元。
根據「中央社」報導，新台幣兌美元今天開盤價為30.000元，盤中最高29.939元、最低30.025元。

Hi 原PO, 我了解你的困境,日文系出身+日文不強 的確在找工作上比較弱勢(信心層面也是) JLPT 你還是要去考到N1 這是最基礎的,請務必拿到 (跟英文系要拿到TOEIC金色證書一樣) 去日本語言學校一年也是增加自信的一個很好選擇. 我身邊的同學畢業後大多從事業務或行銷工作,有些人在學時成績也不是很好 日文也普普 但是這幾年下來,也各有一片天 (在三菱商事/太陽誘電/台達電/友達及一些傳產公司) 當然有些人在大學畢業後,出國去拿商學碩士在回台發展的也是有. 如果你沒有其它技能的話,我建議你可以從業務做起, 在工作的過程中強化自己的語文能力(英文也要),培養第二專長 重點是要知道自己的斤兩,要有信心 加油~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.167.7.50

| 全美50州做生殖器調查 看誰最「微軟」

【綜合報導】美國一個保險套網站「Condomania」日前進行全美50州男性生殖器長度和寬度的調查，並做出排名，有些州屬於「硬管級」，但有些州卻淪落為「微軟級」。
該調查針對全美27000名男性所購買的保險套尺寸做分析，當中包含55款保險套尺寸。該網站統計出，「硬管級」前3名分別為：新罕布夏州、奧勒岡州和紐約州，「微軟級」的吊車尾3州分別為愛荷華州、猶他州和懷俄明州。
另外，該調查也以城市為單位進行調查，結果顯示前5名「硬管級」城市分別為：紐奧良市、華盛頓特區、聖地牙哥市、紐約市、鳳凰城。
