為推廣地產地銷、新鮮養生新觀念及促進米食消費，糧署辦理「RICE UP！鮮享在地招牌飯票選活動」，其票選結果已經出爐，最終由著名嘉義市「雞肉飯」拔得頭籌，高雄市「玉荷包香腸飯」以及嘉義縣「黃金烏魚子炒飯」則分居二、三名。

農委會舉辦「臺灣十大特色招牌飯頒獎典禮」，代表共同完成21縣市招牌飯美食地圖，示意各地特色招牌飯正式出爐，並由副主委陳文德，頒獎十大招牌飯縣市政府和參與活動店家，以表揚其支持臺灣優質米料理，以及米餐廳的用心。

除了前三名外，第四名為苗栗縣草莓腐乳脆皮豬腳飯、第五名為臺東縣池上便當、第六名新北市石碇桂花粽、第七名臺南市府城米糕、第八名為屏東縣東港鎮櫻花蝦炒飯、第九名是彰化縣爌肉飯、第十名為臺中市清水米糕。

「RICE UP！鮮享在地招牌飯票選活動」，主要透過21縣市政府參與推薦共56款特色米食料理，自6月25日至7月28日止，於網路開放投票，參與角逐的各地招牌飯品項可說是包羅萬象，活動期間，官網有465萬瀏覽人次，經全國各界踴躍參與投票，總投票數高達165萬票。

農委會表示，從票選活動中也發現，從北到南各有偏好，北部人愛吃粒粒分明的炒飯，南部人比較偏好軟黏淋醬的米糕，離島民眾則似乎對於海鮮粥類情有獨鍾。

而臺灣米品種多樣，具不同的口感、米香及軟硬度，適合使用於粥、炒飯、飯糰、便當、粽子、油飯等各類米料理，可滿足消費者多變的選擇需求。

【綜合報導】墨西哥警方在首都墨西哥市附近的一處亂葬崗找到13具屍體，其中5具確認為今年5月一起12人綁架案中的受害者遺體。
 
墨西哥警方是在墨西哥市東南方的1個農場發現這座水泥封住的亂葬崗。墨西哥聯邦檢察長辦公室表示，發現的13具屍體中，有足夠證據證實其中5具為3個月前從酒吧失蹤的受害者屍體，另外8具遺體的身分則待進一步驗屍。
 
警方表示，他們是在農場搜索武器時發現這些遺體。其中1人的身分是透過DNA驗出，另外4人則是透過牙科病歷、刺青等證實身分。

【張芳榮／台北報導】北市一名63歲澳洲籍美語老師東尼有「胃灼熱」宿疾，因逾期居留台灣19年不敢就醫，每次胃痛都到藥房買西藥，昨晚他被室友發現陳屍新生北路租屋處報案。檢警據報到場勘驗，他打赤膊、著短褲，弓身躺在床上，門窗沒被破壞，桌上留有治療「胃灼熱」的西藥，初步排除他殺，真正死因仍在調查中，已透過澳洲辦事處聯繫其家人來台處理其身後事。

死者室友表示，本周三東尼又犯胃痛，他要帶東尼就醫遭拒，只好陪東尼到附近藥房買西藥，隔天其胃痛狀況沒有好轉，昨晚7時許他下班返家，無論如何都要帶東尼去醫院，未料卻發現東尼宮著身體躺臥床上，沒有呼吸、身體冰冷嚇得打119，未料救護人員發現東尼身體已有屍班，死亡逾半小時。
