【綜合報導】美國國務卿凱瑞1日表示，由美國取得的證據指出，敘利亞曾在上個月的一次攻擊事件中使用沙林（sarin）毒氣，他再次呼籲美國國會表決通過對敘利亞政權採取軍事行動。
　
凱瑞表示，當時現場急救人員所採取的毛髮和血液樣本已提供給美國，檢驗結果呈陽性，顯示敘國政府曾使用「沙林毒氣」。沙林是一種神經毒氣，能使自主神經系統的交感神經與副交感神經立即失去平衡的毒氣。1938年，由5個德國人首次研製成功，二戰後，這種毒劑才開始在世界範圍內生產。1995年，日本奧姆真理教（Aum Shinrikyo）教主麻原彰晃(Shoko Asahara)就曾在東京地鐵中施放沙林毒氣。

【楊適群╱高雄報導】高市鳳山區鳳林路上一家彩券行，昨午11時35分有名身穿雨衣、頭戴安全帽的男子進入店內簽注12500元的賓果彩券。當男子將簽注單交給店內老闆娘後，一度手摸口袋假裝要拿錢，豈料彩券才剛從印票機印出，男子就伸手進入櫃臺搶走彩券，並隨即衝出店外騎車揚長而去。
 
彩券行蕭姓老闆（53歲）事後發現，被搶彩券有中獎5000元，急忙致電台彩公司止付獎金，避免男子兌換彩金得手。但台彩回應：「彩券屬有價票券，無法止付，只能待警方逮到嫌犯才能追討」。警方也表示，現已展開調查，會儘速將嫌犯追捕到案。
