【張沛森／桃園報導】桃園國際機場外包清潔公司王姓清潔工（53歲）今年4月28日晚間因連續工作而肚子餓，在第一航廈櫃檯偷竊「農牧產品棄置箱」（供旅客攜帶未經檢疫的農牧產品拋棄之用，並由防檢局統一銷毀）內的芒果、肉鬆蛋捲、蘋果等物食用，吃不完地就丟到一般垃圾桶，案經航警局據報查獲依竊盜罪送辦。

桃園地檢署考量王姓清潔工坦承犯行，深表悔悟，且係一時飢餓才偷吃，其情亦堪憫恕，依職權不予起訴處分。

【徐彩媚／嘉義報導】嘉義縣今天有新地標！名為「天木」的裝置藝術作品，高20公尺，象徵阿里山神木遭雷擊倒下後，在嘉義高鐵站「家己人公園」重新站起來。推動瀨戶內海藝術季的日本香川縣，多名貴客專程抵嘉參加「天木」揭幕盛會；縣長張花冠表示，嘉義縣與香川縣有志一同，要用藝術改變世界。
 
「天木」由藝術家王文志結合北回歸線23.5概念，以不鏽鋼片編織纏繞而成，蘊含「神木、家園、大地」藝術因素，堆層成「神木高塔」意象，神木懷中有2顆紅金色種子，代表生命永續流傳。「天木」夜晚閃耀，如天際線上的彩色寶石。
 
日本香川縣觀光協會理事長梅原利之、香川縣高松觀光旅遊局及交通政策課等人，來台參加「天木」揭幕儀式。香川縣推動瀨戶內海藝術季，把工業時代堆放廢棄物的島嶼，打造成現代藝術之都，藝術為窮鄉僻壤帶來新生命與復興，成就名聞全球。王文志曾應日方之邀，在小豆島用5千支當地竹子打造竹編作品「小豆島之光」，很受到歡迎。

【陳郁仁／台北報導】外交部發佈新聞稿表示，位於加勒比海的英國海外領地蒙哲臘（Montserrat），公告給予我國人非工作性質的免簽證待遇，凡持用中華民國有效護照，即可免簽入境蒙哲臘旅遊，最長可停留6個月。如需延長停留時間，需向蒙島移民局提出申請。
