美國地質調查所（USGS）表示，太平洋島國東加王國（Tonga）外海今天凌晨發生規模6.4淺層強震，但當局未發布海嘯警報。

這起強震的震央位於東加首都努瓜婁發（Nuku'alofa）東北方345公里處，震源深度10公里。

USGS的因應全球地震即時評估系統（PromptAssessment of Global Earthquakes for Response,PAGER）發布綠色警戒層級，估計造成傷亡或經濟損失的風險非常低。

位於夏威夷的太平洋海嘯警報中心（PacificTsunami Warning Centre）表示，這起強震無引發海嘯之虞。強震發生後又發生一連串淺層餘震。

【張先華／台中報導】台中市霧峰區光明路一家資源回收廠，下午14時許傳出火警，消防隊立即調派四個分隊，出動11輛各式消防車及50名警義消到場灌救。因資源回收廠內堆滿大量易燃物，火勢一發不可收拾，鐵皮搭建的150坪廠房全遭大火吞噬。

陳姓業者向警方表示，因自行電焊維修大門不慎引起，幸好人員全都逃出未造成傷亡。

【突發中心／新北報導】新北市中和華新街早上7時許發生一起住宅火警，4樓鐵皮加蓋建築物冒出大量白煙，警消抵達後，於3樓發現受困屋主，所幸他意識清醒沒有外傷，警消協助他脫困後送醫。

新北市消防局表示，起火點位於3樓臥室，延燒到堆積在4樓的木材，燃燒面積約10平方公尺，火勢於10分鐘內撲滅，確切起火原因還需火災調查科釐清。

【陳國偉／綜合報導】總獎金8萬美元(約237萬台幣)的世界女子10號球錦標賽，剛剛在菲律賓進行四強戰，台灣封號「殺手甜心」的蔡佩真，7比9敗給地主菲律賓選手阿咪僅獲季軍。

世界女子10號錦標賽冠軍獨得2.1萬美元(約62.3萬台幣)，台灣過去從未在這項賽事奪冠，歷年最佳戰分別是2011年蔡佩真亞軍，以及2009年柳信美亞軍。

【鄧惠珍／彰化報導】彰化縣一名黃姓男子（38歲）昨晚帶著妻女一起到員林鎮台鳳夜市逛夜市，行經飛鏢射氣球攤位時，一支飛鏢突然飛過來，黃男只覺眼球一陣疼痛、異物感且淚流不止，才發現被飛鏢尾端的塑膠平衡葉片劃破眼球。黃男說，「當時眼睛一直出水，以為自己要失明了」黃男經送彰化基督教醫院治療，彰基急診部長周志中說，黃男左眼球「房體」破裂，有一處1公分傷口、縫合5針，確定造成外傷性白內障，是否有失明之虞須觀察，不過確定將會影響視力。

黃妻說，當時要求業者與射飛鏢的少女陪同就醫，業者表示要負責就讓她離開，但是事後卻將責任推給少女。黃男說，該攤位射飛鏢者與標靶氣球距離僅約1.5公尺，當時飛鏢打到氣球旁的保麗龍板反彈才射到眼睛，他氣說，這種危險遊戲在人來人往的夜市應有所規範，否則若射到他4歲小女兒或其他小朋友，後果不堪設想。黃妻今下午再致電張姓業者，業者表示不會推卸責任，但希望跟被害人坐下來好好談。
