隸屬於雲嘉南濱海風景區，位於台南市北門區的北門遊客中心以及周圍的 一些景點，近年來越來越受到觀光客的重視與青睞，每到假日的時候都會 看到參觀的人潮絡繹不決地湧入。這次來的時候發現在遊客中心外面的草 皮上多了一些裝置藝術，遊客們也爭相地與這些特色藝品合照 http://pic.pimg.tw/tainanlohas/1406188006-2719137123.jpg 稱號。烏腳病是早期台灣西南沿海地區特有的末梢血管阻塞疾病，因患者 雙足發黑而得名，病患因為無藥可治最終只能截肢。後來才知道是因為長 期飲用地下水導致砷中毒所引發，當自來水普及之後烏腳病就沒有發生過新的案例 http://pic.pimg.tw/tainanlohas/1406188047-3943401041.jpg 紀念烏腳病的詩歌 診所後面是為了病患成立的住宿及手工藝品工廠，因為當時被截肢的病人 多為窮苦的民眾，截肢完之後更是失去了謀生能力。王金河醫師為了讓這 些病患能自力更生，就在診所後面的地方成立的工廠，每天還親自背行動 不便的截肢病患到工廠去製作一些手工藝品來維生 http://pic.pimg.tw/tainanlohas/1406188064-61322598.jpg http://pic.pimg.tw/tainanlohas/1406188073-2891084288.jpg 王金河醫師的訪談，從氣色與神情上絕對看不出來當時他已經高齡94歲了 。這段訪談正在說當時王金河醫師要幫窮苦的鄉民義診時，遭到家族中其 他人的反對。而原因現在聽起來可能會感到不可思議，但在當年的時空背 景來說是非常合理的反應。一個士紳等級的醫師，又經歷鄉長與縣議員的 http://pic.pimg.tw/tainanlohas/1406192222-2307082859_l.jpg 王醫師在2013年12月31日時還有回來台南來跟大家一起迎接最後一到夕陽 ，2014年1月1日還繼續在金河診所與遊客合照、簽名等等，但幾天後因為 腦溢血住進台大醫院。2014年3月13日晚間8點15分，王醫師因腦溢血併發 心臟衰竭，病逝於臺大醫院，享壽98歲。 謹以本文紀念
